Mini 9 / Upgrading from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 with Update Manager?

This does not work on Mini 9.

Do I need to add repositories ?

To upgrade from Ubuntu 8.04, press Alt+F2 and type in "update-manager -d" (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '8.10' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.

I don't know about the Mini 9, but other Dell machines use proprietary drivers that are available through Dell's apt repositories. I don't think there are apt repos for Intrepid yet.
