Need Help with Factory Restore

I have a Dell Studio 1558 Laptop and need to run the Dell Factory Restore.  I know that I should backup any files (which I have done).  When turn on my computer and press F8, I am brought to the Advanced Boot Menu as expected.  But when I highlight "Repair Your Computer" and hit "Enter", I am taken to my login screen.  I understand that this may be a protective feature to ensure that the restore is expected.  What do I do after I sign in?  I have no idea how to continue with the Factory Restore.  If anyone can help with this issue I would greatly appreciate it!  Thanks.

You will find the details of the correct procedure here: Restore or Reinstall Windows on a Dell.

Thank you for the information.  However, when I highlight "Repair Your Computer" on the Advanced Boot Options Menu, it says "Windows Loading Files" and then takes me directly to my username and password screen.  I login and it's as if nothing happened.  When I went to my control panel to look around, in my advanced recovery methods page, my only two options are "Use a system image you created earlier to recover your computer" or "Reinstall Windows (requires Windows installation disc".  I'm really not sure which one of these options to choose.  The only disc that I have came with my computer and just says "Dell Drivers and Utilities, already installed on your computer" so I'm assuming that won't really do me any good.  I don't think I can proceed without a disc.  Any advice or help?  Thanks
