Hello,

I was having same problem as you. I have a 'Dell Dimention 8250' with microsoft intelli wireless keyboard. I took that out put the regular keyboard that came with Dell system. I also went and did one change in BIOS settings for Slackware to boot properly without hanging at "Keyboard Mapping". Do the following and it should solve the problem.

  • Press F2 when the system starts
  • Goto option 'Integrated Devices (LegacySelect Options)
  • Turn off 'USB Emulation'
  • save and exit

boot slackware 9.1 from cd and just do the normal installation method it should be fine

I just discovered this by mistake hopefully if i have anymore issues i will post when i find solution.

Cheers.
