Ubuntu 16.04 window shortcuts not working after factory reset

I recently performed a factory reset on my dell precision 5520 that came preinstalled with Ubuntu 16.04 and found that the shortcut keys to maximize windows to the left and right sides of the screen (ctrl+super+left arrow and ctrl+super+right arrow respectively) no longer work.  Maximizing and minimizing windows using similar shortcuts (ctrl+super+up arrow and ctrl+super+down arrow) work for some odd reason so it appears to only be those keybindings that do not work.  Are there any other sort of settings I should be changing after I perform a factory reset of Ubuntu for this computer?
