Will Dell XPS 8920 ever be compatible with Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS or future LTS versions?

Hello! My guess is to ask Canonical who makes Ubuntu. They are the ones who reach out to the community for drivers and so forth for compatability. I do not believe the XPS 8920 has anything Dell proprietary that would prevent it from working per se, all be it having newer hardware.
