2016 Alienware 17 notebook won't start
Okay, so I have a problem with my system. I was watching Netflix last night, and all of a sudden, my notebook made a weird almost cracking noise and shut off. I have not been able to start it back up ever since. I have never dropped it or dealt any sort of damage to it. Although I do have it plugged in 95% of the time that I use it, I can't really think of any other damage that I could've done. I have tried to disconnect the battery and drain it but nothing really works. Anything helps! Thank you

Hello,
I would suspect that a component fried itself and to verify if or what you can follow the service manual for your laptop and take it apart. Inspect the motherboard and circuity for any burns or melted areas. If you do find any take a photo for warranty support. If you do not find an issue I would just go ahead and try to get warranty support without the photo.
But unfortunately it sounds like something fried and needs replacing. (probably the GPU)

Was the crackling sounds coming from your Alienwares speakers? was there an electronic smell? please provide more information.

There wasn't any smell and I don't think it came from the speakers because I usually have my notebook hooked up to a monitor with speakers.

Thanks a lot for your help. I figured I'd probably have to get warranty on it.
