AAA ~ ALIENWARE AURORA ABOMINATION!!!
This is without a doubt the most disgusting desktop computer I have bought so far, there is no other way to discribe it except absolutely FILTHY.
Checkout the photo's below, item was bought as a "Factory Second" with overheating issue's!!! I wonder why.
Approx 8 months old
This is how it now looks after 3 days work!!!

AndrewSi,
My apologies. They should have cleaned it up at the Dell Outlet (I am assuming you bought it from us and not a reseller?). So the last picture is after you cleaned it all up correct? How does it run? Send me the service tag via private message so I can look it up.

Wow. That's pretty bad. No wonder it was overheating!
I've never heard of this kind of thing happening before. It's inexcusable, but likely a fairly isolated issue. If that's actually how it arrived then I think a complaint and some form of non-monetary compensation is in order... possibly an extended warranty of some sort.

Nice work.
If you haven't already ... video card needs to be removed completely AND THEN blown out with air compressor ... separately. That is the only way to get it completely clean inside it.

Wow, priceless!!! Great job in cleaning it. Dell should hook you up with something after this. I would get a Video Card upgrade for your troubles.

Thanks for the positive comments
>Telsa1856 - Machine has been COMPLETELY dismantled and re-assembled, including motherboard, liquid cooling, front bezel, all DVD and Card Readers, top fins including mesh and electric motor, all wiring, all hard drive bays removed, power supply dismantled and cleaned, alien fx side lighting setup disassembled and cleaned/side panels included
Did'nt use a air compressor as I was worried moisture would be blown onto the electrical components
ALL fans cleaned with cotton tips and a new paint brush (natural fibres, no static)
All parts blown out with the cans of air you buy from computer shops (3 Cans) then wiped with isoprop alcohol, then wiped with windex, then blown out again
CPU Repasted
GPU removed, blown out, fan cleaned with cotton tips, repasted ( now runs @ 72C after 4 hours battlefield 3 - before cleaning it topped out @98C after 15 minutes)
26C Degree Temp drop in GPU without fan adjustment
> Chris M - Nothing you can do mate, I'm in Australia and you posted last time you could not help me because of this, thanks anyway

AndrewSi,
You wrote, "item was bought as a "Factory Second" with overheating issue's". To me, that implies that you bought it from us. Did you buy it directly from Dell or from a private seller? Send me the service tag number via private message.

>Leodagan - I had the same thought myself, yuk, where ever it was sitting must have been absolutely filthy...
System was approx 8 months old when I got it - not long to butcher a beautiful machine

I have sent this to the Dell Australia Team to investigate what happened.
