About DESKTOP MODEL BATTERY CHARGE in Alienware

Dear Alienware

I am Gerry. I am ocean modeler who used to use computer as my tool to run my ocean model (such as solving mathematical expression numerically) that usually spends about 3-5 days for the running processes. I have bought Alienware 14 because I think that this gaming laptop has excellent specification that also can be applied to do fast calculation of my model (Running game in Alienware is also like running calculation mathematically to provide game visualization). In order to run my model spending several days, the computer has to be on which means connected by AC power until the running program is finish. So, the battery life becomes a major issue for me as this treatment might reduce my battery health due to AC power connection in such a longer time. I just found that there is a tool called DESKTOP MODEL BATTERY CHARGE in Alienware including ENABLE and DISABLE options.

So, my question is that can either Enable or Disable option be used to facilitate my running purpose and also to save my battery?
