AlienFX Not working during hibernation/sleep

Hello all.

When I had my m17x on Windows 7 Pro, the FX controller worked great during sleep, slowly morphing from blue to dark.  Now, since Ive upgraded to Win8, it goes dark when I shut the lid and doesn't turn on until I press the Alien button?  Has anyone else experienced this?  Is there a fix or am I just overlooking something easy?

Thanks,

Scott

And I'm talking about when I shut the lid.  I should have said that.  Also, before, just opening the lid brought the keyboard lights and the comp back to life.

Hello scottdog129

Did you check your power settings? In there you will find an option for what the system will do when shutting the lid. With Win8 requiring a password to log back in that could be it. You can change it to not require a password when it wakes from sleep. Try that and see what happens. It could have also been going into sleep when you had Win7 and maybe now it is going into hibernation.

You should also check your AlienFX settings to see what it's on now.

Tried what you suggested, Morblore.  No dice.  What is the difference between sleeping and hibernation?  I don't see a setting for sleep.
