Alienware 17 screen not turning on, stays blank/ black
I bought this alienware about 5 or six months ago and the screen from time to time would go black/blank and I would just need to adjust the tilt and it would usually come back on. This got extremely worse overtime and now I'm using an external monitor to use the laptop. I'm guessing it must be the screen and not the videocard since the HDMI cable works with an external screen. It's still on warranty and I'd really like to get this fixed but I cant seem to get a hold of anyone as I'm not in the country I registered/bought it in.

It seems like a loose connection, sometimes if I turn the screen a certain way or tilt it the monitor comes back on but usually not for long

Yes the lcd seems fine, just the connection. Do you feel confident to open it up?

You can try to transfer the warranty to the country you are located right now, that way you can call the support site so they can help you repairing the system.
