Alienware 18-R1, How to reset the BIOS to default?
Hi !
Decided to try to put the settings in overclocking added 200 MHz processor 4800MQ in the BIOS. After rebooting the laptop can not boot. After turning lights on and all the lights are not loading. How to recover the laptop? Need to somehow reset the BIOS to default. How to do it?

I understand it is necessary to disassemble the laptop. And without disassembling the laptop does not turn out to reset the BIOS?

Unfortunately yes you cant reset the bios without disassembling the laptop not sure why they dint make a combination key to reset the bios without needing to open the laptop

The only solution now is to see post #26 at http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-18-m18x/734790-there-no-way-reset-bios-alienware-18-a-3.html#post9420020

Is this manual the same like your laptop? If it is then u can follow the service manual to dissemble the laptop ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_alienware_laptops/alienware-m18x_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

Hi!
Before disassembly, if you can still access the BIOS, you could also try to reset the BIOS to optimal settings using F9 Setup Defaults.
