Hello!

Yes you can use keyboard and mouse to play without any problem.

The video card is costume made for the Alfa and it’s comparable to the NVidia 860m and is not upgradable.

No the only two components that you will be able to upgrade are the memory RAM and the hard drive.

I also found this right on the product page:

Upgrades welcome: The Alienware Alpha is user-accessible, so you can feel free to upgrade the CPU and RAM for better in-game performance and background application multitasking and add hard drive space to store more games.

I really do not want to disrespect you if you work for Dell and Alienware. If you look at the video thatis post on the Aleinware Alpa site it clearly states the CPU is upgradeable. I have even watched a video on youtube that showed how you would upgrade the CPU. The only part not upgradeable is the graphic card. Please provide correct info if you are posting as some one that works for Dell / Alienware

At about the 1:40 mark it states that the cpu is upgradeable. It is the video from the Alienware site made by Alienware.

Just to confirm yes you will be able to upgrade the CPU under the same upgrade policy of all our products.

Everything is cool about this machine execpt for the hard wired video card. I'd like to upgrade the video card (probably the #1 advantage of a PC to a console) and I think I'll wait until you add this feature before I buy one. Even the benchmarks you advertise show if you upgrade the CPU or get the best one this machine will be GPU bound meaning the GPU will be what is limiting the performance! But in all other aspects you have a console beat - it's backwards compatible, the games are cheaper, it's upgradeable (kinda), It's got a way better CPU than the mobile-esque ones in the console which is great for physics and the mechanics of the game, and you can use it as a computer or to stream media!... But you can't play the games at high settings even when you "upgrade" this machine because it's GPU bound... SO fix that part and I'm SOLD!

Maybe add an Optical drive although I have and you can get external ones this would be a nice feature

I am a bit confused about the end of your statement. You said you can not play games on high settings? I am playing several games on high and some on ultra with no problem. You can also see a lot of game play over on you tube showing games played on high and above. I am playing my games on the base mode with an I3 and 4 gigs of memory. If you need a list of the games I am playing on high or above just ask.
