Alienware Alpha Going Slow

Lately, my Alienware Alpha has been going a lot slower than it usually has. I upgraded it to Windows 10 about a week ago, hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't. Instead, the Alpha now goes to sleep within minutes, even though I set it to where it doesn't sleep until an hour has passed. Another problem I have is that after it goes to sleep in the short amount of time, when I log back into the Alpha my internet gets all messed up and I have to disconnect it and connect it again for it to work. Is it best to just do a factory reset on my Alienware Alpha to get rid of this lag as well as the other problems or is there a better option, possibly one where I don't lose everything I have on the Alpha?
