hello,

I bought an Alienware area 51 ALX Tag: 86JR92S and its has been the worst buy ever!! its been a complete nightmare.... no wonder the Area 51 was dropped!!. Its been fixed over 5 times by dell technicians : change mother board twice, video cards twice, power supply twice, blue screen, doesn't wake up from sleep, every couple of months i have to install a clean windows because the system just keeps failing. The worst thing is that i spent 5000$ and after a couple of weeks it was taken out of the market and i feel cheated! i feel like i bought an outdated dinosaur machine that weights more than my Labrador!! Every 2 months when the machine gets fixed i have to be without a machine for about 1 week, i work from home so i have to go to a local internet cafe, my friend who bought a 2000$ Imac never in the last 4 years had major issue!! i feel totally embarrassed of spending such a big amount of money in this machine!! i need a solution, i need a machine that is going to work without breaking every couple of weeks!

Is there a question you have or something you need help with?

If you are just complaining then thats cool. I would have to disagree with what you said about the Area 51 being that I own one. It has been a rock solid system for the most part that still out performs most computers. Every model made will have some that have issues. Most don't but it happens.

I have An Area 51 and the only hardware problems was a Harddrive that developed a SMART error and a video card that had a fan go off balanced.  Both was replaced.

Now I have had a software issue but that is related to windows and not the system.

Did you have a question we can try to help you with?

Everything has a dud now and then. For a system replacment you would need to call Dell.
