The R7 370 only needs a 450w power supply. The R9 390 needs a 650w power supply. So if you have the 825w power supply, you should be fine. Other users upgraded to the GTX 770 without issues.

does it need to update the BIOS my current BIOS is a A09.

also what is the Max RAM capacity of the Mother Board of Alienware Aurora ALX R1?

upon my research this is a Tri Channel Memory

I am planning to get 3x8GB and I will put each 8GB for each channel

is it perfect for load balance issue.

please enlighten me.

I would first test the video card using bios A09. If no go, update to Bios A11.
* Disconnect all external devices connected to the Desktop except for a wired keyboard, wired mouse, and the monitor (no USB flash drives, etc.)
* Close any running applications
* Download/Save the Bios file to your windows desktop (Note: Do not jump from Bios A03 to A12 (example only). Always load the Bios updates in order)
* Once saved to the windows desktop, double-click the file
* Windows will automatically restart and allow the Bios update to load. Do not MANUALLY force a power off or restart during this process! Doing this will brick the motherboard CMOS!
* After the Bios update is finished, the Desktop will automatically reboot to take effect

* Maximum DDR3 memory 24GB (1066MHz/1333MHz) or 12GB (1600MHz XMP). Three 8GB sticks in slots 1/3/5.

* The GeForce GTX 980 was never tested by Dell nor have I seen any users state that they tried it.

At a minimum you would need an 850w power supply to run dual AMD R9 380s. I would stick to a single video card.
