Alienware Aurora R4 Power Supply Problem/Question

My Alienware Aurora R4 would not turn on after a black out at my house. I took it in to get checked and the tech said that the power supply unit is not working. I decided to search for a power supply unit but as I am in Toronto, Canada its hard to find dell parts unless you buy online.

I managed to find a power supply unit in my city that looks identical to the one on my system, but I do not know if it will work on my system.

Original Power Supply Model # H875EF-00   ( this is the one that was inside the alienware aurora r4)

Power Supply I Found - Model # H875E-00

Both of these power supply units output 875W but there is a difference on the sticker when reading the voltages, here are the difference in both models:

Modle # H875EF-00

AC INPUT (50-60Hz): 100-240V~/12.5A

+5V AND +3.3V SHALL NOT EXCEED 225W

---

Model # H875E-00 says

AC INPUT (50-60Hz): 100-240V~/14A

+5V AND +3.3V SHALL NOT EXCEED 150W

I would like to know if it is possible to replace PSU with the Model #H875E-00 in my Alienware Aurora R4. Would this PSU cause the computer any damage or make any of the components not work properly.

Thanks For you Help!

you've referenced the model # - try the actual Dell part# (DP/N) printed twice on your side label & go back look again online for the same one if you prefer
