Alienware BOOT ERROR.. PLEASE HELPP
Hello,
My laptop model is Alienware M14X
I dunno what happened, I was using it as normal and then I put it to sleep..
Then when I tried turning it on again, it only shows the black screen (start-up page) without even showing everything on it, just the first sentence (inter-r......) and then it says
"The operating system did not shutdown clearly
Reconstructing Cache Metadata.
Please do not interrupt this process...
Reading Packed Metadata into memory.. Done
Reprocessing delta log record... 0"
And this screen only shows for 0.2 seconds maybe, I had to see it 10x times to write what it says...
and when pressing F1 F2 F8 or F12, it never does anything at all.
I tried the Vista CD but it didnt work also,
What should I do, please HELP =')~~~
and it has been only 2 month MAX since i used it...
"sorry for the poor english".
THANKS in advance...

Hi Tiictoc,
It is unfortunate that your computer is not booting normally, I’d suggest you to try the following steps mentioned below to isolate the issue.
1. Shut the computer down, remove the battery and disconnect the AC Adapter
2. Disconnect external peripherals ( Like Printers , scanners , USB media/ HDD , optical media )
3. Since nothing is connected press and hold the power button for a minute which will release the flea power present inside the computer
4. Connect the battery and AC Adapter and run the diagnostics by tapping the F12 button during startup, Select Diagnostics
5. The Diagnostics starts running the quick test without waiting for your input.
6. At the end of the test please make a note of an error message (if any)
Running the Pre- Boot System Assessment (Diagnostics) will determine the issue with the Hardware or the Software so we can troubleshoot accordingly
Please complete these steps and let us know your findings.

Hi Tiictoc,
Thank you for your response,
Since the battery is present inside the computer where you’ll have to remove the back panel and remove the battery, you can skip that step and try running
the diagnostics on the computer by selecting the Quick Test as mentioned in previous post and can check the functionality of the hardware.
Do complete the test and reply us back with the findings.
