Alienware Hardware and Tech support Compliments!
Over the last few weeks i have read many posts from different users haveing bad experiences with their Alienware purchases and with the support offered from Dell.
So i have decided to start this post for Alienware members who have actually experienced good support and product!
The main reason i wanted to create this post is to give hope to the people experiencing issues and having bad luck with Dell.
Well I bought an m17x R2 from Dell a few months ago. Buying the laptop was smooth and the sales representative gave me a good deal. I then received the laptop within the time specified and i was given a tracking number to track where my laptop was in the build process and delivery process. When i received it everything was included and i had no issues initially. I was happy with my purchase.
I then found i had an issue with my CrossfireX cards. i found that when i enabled crossfirex i had fuzzy / jumpy graphics. I got hold of tech support and after 2 calls only a tech support individual came to my house within 2 days and found the problem in a few minutes. the secondary card had issues so it was replaced. he then checked that crossfirex was now working correctly. Since then i have had no issues and have had everything working 100%.
I have had a good experience with Dell and with their tech support, aswell as with the alienware tech support. Also have had a good experience on this tech support page and commend Chris for his good management of the group.
Thank you Dell!

Received my Aurora ALX in 11-09, I had one of the hard drives go bad. It took about a week to receive the new drive.
I called the Alienware ALX tech support to help with the installation of the new HD.
The tech went step by step, and when it came to reinstalling the OS, he stayed with me. After the OS was running, he used the remote access system to download, install, and then organize a folder for all the drivers. Didn't sign off untill I had everything up and running.
Alienware ALX tech support is the best.

Overall the exchange for my faulty XPS with this currently malfunctioning alienware 17m has been a headache... HOWEVER, I very much appreciate Chris' help and professional guidance. I'm grateful to have this forum to follow. Kudos to Chris... thanks very much !

I bought the M18x and added a better processor than came with the model , and a solid state hard drive ,also the killer wireless and it all works well together ,they did mess up a few things but when I contacted support they fixed the issues and so far I have nothing but a good experience with alienware excep for the fact that when I mentioned that I had a budget to stick to and opted for the more expensive processor and said I would wait to getthe extended warrenty I wasn't told at the time that the warrenty is almost double the price if youdonot order it when buying the machine ,which I wish I had been told atthe time ,but all in all it's been fine service.
