Alienware M14X R2 Burnt Transistor?

Question

Hi there, I recently disassembled my out-of-warranty M14X just for the fun of it and noticed one transistor on the motherboard, on the right side, below the 2 slot USB 3.0 being burnt and am wondering what this transistor does. The M14X is otherwise functioning well. Thanks for any enlightenment on this issue.

Thanks, Rodrigo. Meanwhile I think it would be safer to disconnect the laptop from AC when I'm leaving the house. I don't usually do that.
