Alienware m17x Broadcom Ethernet Driver Issue
Hello,
This is my first post here, so if someone else has posted the same thing, please forgive.
I have an Alienware M17x, when upgrading to Windows 7 ultimate, it will not accept the broadcom ethernet drivers. It will take the wireless drivers and the wireless works well, but the ethernet card will not work.
I am attaching an image of the error I get when I try to install the drivers.....
Anyhow, any help would be appreciated.

Maybe try disabling the wireless card in the device driver, then try updating the network card driver? My m17x won't hook up to the internet if I have both running. It only takes one or the other. Maybe it's the same for trying to update the driver?

I figured it out though, there are 3 different versions of the M17x. All of which have different drivers.
Mine is an r2.
Problem solved!
