Whenever we diagnose a computer and we send out the parts for it we try to cover what seems to be the problem. In your case, I would have just send the LCD screen as well. But if we have 8 Beeps, it can well be an issue with the cabling from the Motherboard or the Motherboard itself. For LCD issues since there are various fragile and tricky components involved, we prefer sending the computer to our repair facilities. I know that for your case this will be out of the question. But at least as a work around you try plugging an external monitor to your computer whilst they send another tech your way.
