Alienware M17X System Replace
I completely dissatisfied with the quality of support on dells part, i have phoned in several times regarding my long system replace wait, the Ticket hasnt been updated since November 23! (I got the laptop on November 15!!!! less then a month old) is going onto 3 weeks waiting for any information that might tell me if they are working on it. Every Time i phone in they tell me it will take 2-3 weeks. the last time i phoned it i was told it take 20-30 DAYS for them to ship out a working product to me. this problem started after a tech replaced my speakers and im paying 113$ a month for a paperweight :( anyone else having trouble getting dell to send a full system replace?

well stop payment cause it dont take that long when they cry no money tell em your not paying for a busted sytsem mine took 8 days from dead system to shipping day but i dealt with supervisors and only supervisors first line read a script and cant do nothing i know i work for hp tech support part time and once out of a week i actually read my screen for issue help ...
anyway sounds liek they are blowing you off so call financial part and tell them your cancellign and sending back and valid reason why see if they wont help with getting an answer dell refusing to fix/replace a system is in breach of warranty contract and getting run around is not right so tell dell financial your putting a perm block on account and sending it back system has never functioned properly and dell wont do anyhtign about it cept tell you if this fails since without rma # you cant send back without it getting lost in limbo contact BBB and explain dell is breaching contract 20-30 days when mine took 8 .. kimme a break
Thank you for contacting Dell's Technical Support. It was a pleasure working with you in our attempt to resolve the issue you are having with your system.
The following information relates to your recent call. In order to replace your part, we have setup an exchange.
Order Date 12/02/2010
Your order was shipped on 12/11/2010.
sorry 9 days not 8 .. regardless not 20-30

I'm on my second replacement, after 2 M17xs I thought they should equip me with a comparable Aurora. Which they did after many many hours on the phone and three months wait on even a determination of the desktop model replacement. Only one e-mail to my State Attorney General about Dell and their shoty business practices and they were actually calling me back. Four days later the machine they claimed not to have the parts to build was sitting on my doorstep.
