alienware tactx mouse problem

Question

i have a Tactx mouse which repeadedly disconnects from the usb the re-connects 5 to 10 seconds later this happens around every 10 to 15 minutes (annoying in games) i have tried all the usual stuff differnet port 6 in all and 2 different mice a cheap 3 pound mouse with no problem and a very expensive logitec mouse with no problems also i dont remeber when it was bought but manufacture date is feb 2013 so it was after that ...please help

Hello,

Is it possible for you to test the Tactx mouse with another computer? If the same thing were to happen in another computer, it could be a hardware problem with the mouse. In case its software related, try testing the mouse in safe mode. If it seems to work fine in safe mode, there could something conflicting with the USB drivers. Let us know how it goes.

yep thats been done using an i5 laptop and if it was a conflict with usb drivers it would have happened afes ago as there has not been anything installed for 3 months and this started happening 2 weeks ago and i have also checked to see if there were any conflicts i have already had the keyboard replaced that i got with the set a while ago perhaps poor qc with both parts having problems (if ya didnt know i used to work for MSI in Quality control for 8 years )..thanks for your time and effort

is it true that these alienware tactx mouse and keybaord only get 1 year warrenty unlike most other expensive stuff that gives 2 year i have found the original order thru amazon and its dated 29 may 2013 so i guess im out of luck with it so thanks for helping me ..regards
