Hi ZWY,

Thank you for providing the update. I sincerely apologize for the many technical troubles you have experienced with your Dell system.

Please let me know the number of beep codes you get to hear?

Also, let me know the status of the power button on the computer tower.

I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

Awaiting your response!

Hello  ZWY

- Perform a power drain, unplug all external devices including the power cord, press and hold the power button for 1 min.

- Clear the BIOS battery.

Let me know the status after these steps.

Thank you for your response. I heard five beep codes and another five continuously. The power button shows a white light, and the light of right and left side are both blue. I am sure that the connection between screen and case is right, but I can not see anything on the screen. Furthermore, there is a disk in the CD-ROM. I press the button many times, but I can not get it out. Thank you

Cool! I can start it now, thanks a lot! However, there is another problem.

The screen turned blue and show " :( Your PC ran into a problem and needs

to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart

for you." so...What I can do now?

Did you ran the blue screen viewer tool to check for the error codes?

This PC installed Windows 8, and I totally can not enter the OS. So I think I can not use the blue screen viewer tool or get error code.....

The screen shows the Pic(1), then the Pic(2), then restart.

was reading the post and just wanted to mention that upgrading from win 7 to win 8 is not a good idiea. although it should work it often does not perform very well......... plus there's not point if there's not security advantages with the new CPU thingy they got going with windows 8.

looks to me like a bios problem
