Aurora at Frys Electronics
Hi everybody, Have a quick question. Here is an Aurora at Frys Electronics. http://www.frys.com/product/6307451?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG. It comes with two 5870's in crossfire. But it also says it comes with a 525W power supply. Is that a typo or is 525W really capable of handling 2 5870's? Thanks.

I suspect that it is bad wording on Frys part and that perhaps there is only 1 x 5870 and not 2. And that stating the word CrossfireX really means that it is CrossfireX compatible. According to tomshardware 2 x 5870 in CrossfireX mode draws 561w under load.

I think you should call and get it clarified. It never says 2 cards, it only says crossfirex 1gb ati radeon hd 5870 and it shows only 1PCIex16. Also, the specs say i7-920 but that its 2.8ghz. imo, some idiot wrote up the description not knowing what she was talking about.
