Beeps on startup

My Alienware 14 screen remains black on start up and  the computer beeps  at 1 to 2 second intervals, there is not a long pause between beeps.  The laptop is less than 4 months old.  It's bad enough that making payments to dell has been like pulling teeth now I can't start it.

Your motherboard is probably bad. You will have to send it back to the factory to get it repaired I think. Be careful, I did the same thing and they majorly messed up my computer. Wires were not tucked in so there were bulges on the keyboard. My Intel Graphics card is acting up. My screen became fuzzy and they refuse to have someone local look at it. Instead they want me to send it back again for another week of service. If it was just games I was playing on it, that would be fine. I do work with my computer as well so 2 weeks out of a month is totally unacceptable.

Hi Jcolby87,

Try the troubleshooting steps in this article. If issue persists, use the Beep Codes to identify the hardware component that's causing the problem.

Let me know how it goes!
