How did you get it this fast? Do you have the 1070 or 1060 card in it? I was wondering if it might be a heat issue.

I am having the same issue! 17 R4 with the 1070 card. From first day yesterday, was downloading games and I would come back to the computer and it kept being shut down. This AM, I was playing Gears of War 4 for about 15 minutes, and it just says, "Shutting down". Any ideas of how to troubleshoot?

Call Support and insist they send out a tech to repaste, I would also buy a good paste and have them use that and not the *** oem stuff.

I looked in the event viewer and found an entry in Kernel Power that indicates a "Critical Heat Event". Researching this it seems the CPU got overheated and is triggering some application to shut down the PC to protect itself.
I called tech support and they are sending me a new laptop.
