Bricked MIO board
I have an Alien ware Aurora from 2009. Yesterday I put in a SSHD and did a clean reinstall of windows 7 and the various items included on the resource CD included with my computer. Apparently that was a mistake because the version of command center on the resource CD bricked the MIO board. What options are available to me since calling tech support got me no where (they just played the 'blame the customer' game since I should have magically known the version of command center on the resource DVD was faulty).

Be sure that it fails detection and testing in Dell Diags.

If it passes, you might be experiencing the other problem where a new Windows install prevents it from working. In that case, the fix is to do:
1. Power Dissipation Fix
2. Repeat Windows clean install.

I just get repeated USB Hub1 errors when i try to get it to be detected by the diagnostic. I also tried to reset the board using various jumper settings which did not work either.

Just checking before you buy one (get from Dell Parts). Yes, sounds like it's toasted.
