The X51 R1 supports a 3.5 inch, SATA 3, up to 7200RPM HDD. If you want to buy it from a different store, just make sure it matches those specs. You can also call Tech Support and check if replacement HDDs are available for your desktop.

no it is the dell checkup program, i will try the ePSA and post on my result

ever since i did the scan my bott time has increased

Hello! sorry for the late reply, i have had a lot of work to do

i did the test and everything seemed fine until it got to the hard drive, my computer started making a weird beeping sound

this came up in a pop-up

"error 2000-0142

validation 116009

short self test unsuccessful"

my warranty ran out so i guess i will have to buy a new one myself, im not much of a tech guy so i dont know what kind of hard drive i have, is there a way i can find the exact hard drive i have right now so i can get the same one?

Thank you, this error code confirms that there's a HDD failure.

If the system is in warranty, the replacement HDD can be covered. I recommend you contact Tech Support in your country so you can request the replacement or if you're in the US or Canada, you can send me a private message with your Service Tag and contact information so I can help you.

i looked at the configuration and it showed this

i looked it up on amazon and found loads of different products, which one should i get?

also i was looking up on how to upgrade the graphics card on an alienware x51 R1 and found lots of different information about which graphics cards can actually fit in my PC, do you know which ones can fit?
