Exchange Question
I bought an M18x from the outlet and it had the wrong configuration. After calling Dell to complain they offered me an exchange; I was a little skeptical until I spoke with a rep today that provided me with an order number since the laptop is in production. After looking up the number it looks like i'm being upgraded from the original R1 to R2, and it appears that this will be a new laptop (direct) with similar specs and upgraded cpu. The exhanged laptop is worth alot more than the outlet version I am sending back. The question I have is, when I get the new laptop will dell be looking for me to pay additional $$$$ for the new laptop?

No, generally they won't.
Your upgrade is the best they can do, as they don't have the R1 to replace it any more, so remarkably good deal for you.
Dell are the best at bribing customers to fix their mistakes, its just hard for some to get them to accept the mistake :)
I would suggest you upgrade your warranty to the full 3 yrs too.
