Eyefinite and cfx
I have two 6950's with three monitors. All three monitors are hooked up to the primary card. I can turn with all three monitirs hooked up to the primary card I can turn cfx on and off with no disruption - all three monitors will still work.
If I hook a monitor to the other video card all three monitors work when cfx is turned off. However, when I enable cfx the monitor hooked up to the secondary card goes into sleep mode.CCC isn't recognizing the monitor monitor hooked up to the secondary card while in cfx.
The bridge is secured and I restarted the system each time I made a change.
What am I missing here?

Then how would you set up more than three monitors?

With crossfire it basically functions as one video card. So it will only recognize whats plugged into the master card when in crossfire mode. Im having a little trouble understanding the setup but I think thats your issue. I also had an xfire setup and after doing research I realized with xfire enabled it will only recognize the ports on ONE card.

I believe you have to have a card with more than 3 ports or get a hub that splits one port. If you do a little research you can confirm this. I dont want you to take my word for it but I remember that was my understanding last time I checked.

Response from AMD. There is hope later this year with 69xx cards with DP.
Response and Service Request History:
With CrossFireX enabled only the outputs on the primary video card will work.
If you wish to use 6 displays you would have to get a video card supporting 6 displays off of one card for the primary CrossFire card. HD69xx cards should do this as long as they have 2 Display Port or mini Display Port outputs on the card. Once Display Port 1.2 compliant daisy chain monitors or multiphase hubs are available later this year. Until then you will be limited to disabling CrossFire to run the 6 displays.
A FirePro V9800 is currently available and this card does support 6 displays off of one card through 6 mini display port outputs. You would have to replace both of the cards in the system but you could run 6 displays off of this card and CrossFire it with another V9800, V8800, V7900 or V7800.
In order to update this service request, please respond, leaving the service request reference intact.
