Factory image restore - boot failure
After attempting to install Windows 7 64 bit SP1 I kept on receiving error FFFFFFFE which recommended reinstalling OS. I decided to go back to the factory install using AlienRespawn. After the restore completed, the subsequent restart failed with a bsod. It flashed by so fast that I couldn't get a look at it. I rebooted with the windows 7 64bit recovery disk and it showed that it failed in setup. Luckily for me I had backed up a disk image using the backup utility in respawn from 8 months prior. I am wondering if DELL can provide me with a solution on the factory image problem? I really would like to get a fresh start without having to reinstall from the windows 7 dvd.

Time for my stupid question
1: Did the BSOD occur when the Windows load Splash screen was up?
If so, reboot the system and press "F8" before you get the splash screen. The select "Disable automatic restart upon system error" then see what the blue screen says. If the stop error is 0x0....7B that means your SATA operation is set wrong. Go into the BIOS and select either ACHI or RAID depending.
