Freezing problem out of nowhere!
I have this problem with the computer that when everything is alright the screen and the sound just freeze for like a minute ,leaving me unable to even move the mouse or keyboard, and then the computer goes back to normal. However after that it still mini-freezes from times to times and it needs a restart in order to stop this. Most likely it will happen again after that either in some minutes or hours. Now I checked online including these forums and saw that other people have this similar problem as well but I didn't find a solution or a response from any of them saying "that fixed it".
So is there a solution for this? Anyone had this problem before and somehow fixed it? Do we even know if this happens on Alienware computers specifically?
Here's a video showing the problem on an Alienware 17 laptop. My computer is from x51 series with nvidia i7 processor and GTX-555 graphics card.

Apparently updating graphics card drivers or doing this Alienrespawn doesn't fix this. Any other ideas?

Hi!
Check if the problem happens while you're on Safe Mode. If it's a software problem, a System Restore or AlienRespawn could help.
Try running an ePSA diagnostic and an HDtune benchmark (on Safe Mode) to check for hardware issues. Make sure you have the latest BIOS available for your system.
Let me know the results.
