Hello.
I own an Alienware 15 alongside an Alienware graphics amplifier which contains a GTX1080 graphics card. This has worked perfectly for around half a year with no issues. Recently however I am receiving an error in which my PC does not detect the amplifier, this can be seen when I try to update/redownload it's drivers or when customizing my lighting on the Alienware command center. This is made stranger by the fact that in device manager and GeForce experience it recognizes that I am running a GTX1080, however when attempting to run a game it plays as though I don't have any Nvidia graphics cards installed. Upon booting up my laptop the light from the graphics card inside the amplifier turns on however the light at the front of the amplifier does not.
I have tried restarting my laptop multiple times, and even switching out the cables however nothing seems to work. I have checked the Nvidia control panel and it is set to run the most powerful card for games (which should be the GTX1080).
If anybody has any solutions it would be greatly appreciated.
