I am an experst at this. Call Dell support....Hit  000000 to get a human thn ask for the returns dept. You will get transfered to someone who will try to offer you more money or a replacement....Say no and they will transfer to you a person who will give you an RMA number and send you a return label for drop off at UPS....

SImple..... I recently had TWO Alienwaware M17X from the refurb bad out of the box and returned them both..I am done with Dell home...I will onlky buy an M6500 of the business side form her on out. Much better service and standard three year warranty on refurbs.

The correct spelling for the dodgy courier company is

Schenker Australia <----- Dodgy Courier Compnay

OK my computer finally arrived after 24 phone calls to various outlets to track down the real location of my computer.

Here is where it got worse, the computer arrived, we pulled it out with excitement only to be further disappointed with a refurbish side panels.

There were scratches every where as well as dents on the side panel. This must be a refurbished model but i dont remember buying a refurb one - we bought a brand new one !!!!!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG do i called Dell, the lady asked me to send photos of the scratches and dents on the panels. She doesn't know what a side panel is.

Furthermore, one of the vent grills is not working it's stuck and it's the last vent at the rear on top of the computer. the first vent grill at the top front doesn't line up with the rest of the 4 grills.

Why did they even have the audacity to send me a brand new computer with refurbish side panels and non working grills?

Dell customer service wanted to organish a new replacement but i told her just send us the new panel because we don't want to have to wait 3 or many 4 months before they send us a new replacement.

My yet another horrible experience regarding buying Alienware :(

Previously we've bought an ALienware Area 51 Desktop pc it had TAG written on the side of the  box but this time the tag number is no where to be found on the boxes or order slips that came with the Aurora.

I have sent you a private message with my contact details.

Thanks Chris.

Are we supposed to get an Alienware CAP and chassis lock? Because those items didn't come with this system at all unlike our other 2 Alienware M17x and Area 51 Desktop.

I saw on youtube channel that it supposed to come with Alienware Cap and Chassis Lock :(

I think they have definately sent me a refurbished computer ....

I have no idea about the accessories that ships on these. Neither your order number nor the service tag number is showing in my Americas tools? Did you purchase the PC from the Americas website?

wow Thread resurrection.....

first off you probably should have read the warranty and the fine print, that you have 30 days to return .. after that parts can be  recertified(factory refurbs) or used, but not necessarily new....   if 3 attempts to fix SAME issue machine gets replaced usually after fighting with manager, supervisor ect.....with another  refurbed or returned not wanted system... this is said  in  warranty  information

but in dell's own  wording is different...

I had my fair share of issues YET I still went back to dellienware for another laptop (M18x R2 .)

the issues you read about are just that , how many times you see people go on forums and praise a full working system without issues, we only complain when it don't work right...

mind you the issues are only about 0.05% of the total systems actually sold
