Internal hard disk drive not found
Last Wednesday I shut down my Alienware R4 to find it was updating windows 7 (not unusual) on 7/13 it appeared to become stuck, I left it for an hour whilst going play some console games instead to come back to it still in the same place. Thinking it may just be a large section of update I left it over night before returning to it about 12 hours after the original shut down. Still stuck on 7/13. Ignoring the message saying do not disconnect power, feeling I had no other choice, I did so.
After booting it back up it said installing updates then continued to work fine, I shut it down (all appeared to be fine) but when I rebooted it kept getting stuck on the windows 7 load bar. After several restarts, attempting to use windows repair, windows 7 fresh install and safe mode it still would not load. Some googling suggested I should reset the bios as the stage it appeared to be getting stuck at was a fairly common issue and just required you to reset bios to default. After doing this is restarted and brought me to the raid configuration screen - it showed the two 1tb seagate drives the system came with and the one 2tb Samsung drive I put in my desk just under 3 years ago. After the raid screen I got the following message "internal hard disk drive not found to resolve this issue, try reseat the drive. No bootable devices found strike f1 to retry boot, f2 enter setup menu, f5 enter PSA".
So I've tried the following to no joy so I'm hoping someone can suggest something I've not tried or a possible solution I've over looked.
Reseated drives
Ran the PSA, told me the Samsung drive was failing/failed - I suspected this as it's been struggling to transfer multiple files for a while.
Removed the Samsung drive and tried again with two original seagate, even reset bios after removal as added precaution.
CMOS menu shows all 3 drives there and functioning
Raid configuration screen shows all 3 drives before telling me no internal hard disks found.
Ran PSA test again after removing Samsung and it says all tests passed.
I'm awaiting someone to borrow me a spare internal so I can remove all my drives to rule out that but I thought it quite unluckily that 3 drives should all fail simultaneously. What also struck me odd is that the PSA tests, cmos and raid screen should all display them yet when trying to boot say there are no drives.
I've even opened up the system to see if there's any visible damage to the controller on the motherboard but as I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for I've just sort of made sure the sata cables are all in securely that go from the bay's to the motherboard.
I've exhausted everything I can think of and this is a Last effort to resolve myself before calling a professional who'll charge me a fair sum to fix the issue for me. I'd like to avoid this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to reinstall windows only in the original hard drives?
