Laptop won't boot up.

I'm running windows 7 ultimate on an Alien M17x. I had Norton scan it last night and Norton demanded a reboot in the morning. I agreed and then it wouldn't boot up. I tried running start up repair, but it did nothing at all. I figured Windows must no longer be functional so I reinstalled it. Or at least I tried to reinstall it. It overwrote the original Windows but I got an error message saying that the installation could not be completed. I tried this multiple times until I figured it wouldn't work at all. I ran several different diagnostics and found something weird. When I ran diagnostics it couldn't read my hard drive. I'm think that it's a problem with the hard drive.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?
