M17x Chassis QA Issues?

I initially ordered an M17x on 18 March. Due to an error in ordering the machine was re-ordered in 22 March, with an ETA of 13 April. I'm not going to go into the huge debacle that was getting the correct order, or to have it corrected. However, a production expedition request was made. In speaking with my sales rep I was given a few updates on the status of my build. Apparently the chassis was out of stock, and scheduled to arrive on 31 March. I spoke with my sales rep yesterday and was told that the shipment of the chassis hadn't passed QA testing, that there was going to be a delay, and that there was no estimated timetable on production. I'm posting to see if anyone else has had an issue like this, and if so, any steps I can take to either get more information on what is going on. I ordered an Alienware based on their reputation, quality of products, and because (lets be honest) the M17x just looks awesome. If anyone has any suggestions or information that would be greatly appreciated.
