m17x keyboard & AlienFX

So the recent update to AlienFX has removed my keyboard zones, everything else I can change but now the keyboard is not lit up at all nor can I change the color. Is there anything I can do short of returning the laptop to Dell?

I have the same problem. Have you found the solution?

What version did you load? Have you reloaded an older version?

The Command center version is 2.0.10.0.

I have not reloaded anything.

Does your Command Center have an option to Reset to Factory Defaults? If yes, try it. I do not have it loaded here.

No option to reset.

It is a little strange when I open the Command Center it asks if I want to update to version 2.0.10.0. In the program it says it is that version.

What happens if you allow it to update?

It can't update. An unexpected error occurs. It can't download.

I uninstalled the command center and tried to download the latest version 2.5.54.0 from Dell, but i can't. "An unexpected error occured. Close Dell Driver Download Manager and try again." I tried a few times.

I downloaded another update from the site and i worked just fine.

I never use the Download Manager. Just download from Dell via the normal HTTP or FTP download.
