Open Power Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.
Select “Balanced” and click “Change Plan settings”
Click on “Change advanced power settings; expand “wireless Adapter settings”.
Expand “Power saving Mode” and under Adapter and Battery make sure they are set to Maximum performance.
Click “Ok and Apply”
2. Change the LCD brightness settings:
Click Start.
Type “Power Options” in the search box.
Click “Edit Plan Settings”
Ensure “Dim the display is set to “Never” on Battery and Adapter.
I tried what you recommended but still when i unplug my M17x and plug it back in, it stays in low performance. I have to restart my computer with the charger plugged in for me to play any games.
Again thank you for responding any other solutions would be a life saver .
