Major issues with Alienware Laptop

I have an Alienware MX17 R2.  I have had major issues with it since I bought it.

I have the A10 Bios.

1. The CD Drive is messed up.  It works for the most part but about 80% of the time it locks up. It won't eject disks sometimes and other minor issues.

2. The battery/plugin is a major issue.  Most of the time if I leave the laptop plugged in ALL the time, then it's great. If it accidentally comes unplugged at all, I have to spend 20 minutes to get it to read it again. Plugging/unplugging, shutting down, removing battery, resetting the adapter and everyhting. Sometimes it takes me as much as an hour to get it to work again. Now lately it's even been disconnecting the AC Adapter even when it is unplugged, every 1-4 hours it'll suddenly not recognize it anymore even if I never unplugged it.

3. I have had the laptop for 2 years.  Before it was good. I played games on it a lot, and worked, and did other stuff. Never had any issues with this.  Then about 6 months ago I noticed that when playing World of Warcraft it would sometimes (Occassionally) just shut down straight up out of nowhere. It got pretty hot so I assumed it overheated.  It was very seldom, only occasionally. Like once a week.  Eventually it got worse and started shutting down more often. Only during Gameplay and only during really intense moments in games. So I did a lot of troubleshooting and eventually opened/cleaned it. That fixed it.  Several months later it started happening again, so I cleaned it again and it seemed to help.  Now, it's starting getting worse.I can't really play any game for more than 30 minutes, even less intensive ones) without it shutting down.  Even if I have the fan beside me blowing on medium.  It just won't let me do any games. I can do anything else I want, but I can't do any gaming. Any more than 20-30 minutes and it shuts down.  The fans I think are fine, it's getting hot underneath the laptop a little beside the left fan (if you are looking down at the keyboard) it's not currently dirty that I can see.

My Warranty with dell ran out last year, but with a 2500 dollar laptop I am stunned it's having this many issues this soon. It cost me nearly 3000 dollars for this, and now it's almost unusable. I can't play games, and now with it regularly not reconigizing my AC adapter it's even getting hard to read comics and perform other normal activities on it.

Any advice on how I can clear up some of these issues would help, but right now it's driving me crazy and I wish I had bought something else. I don't understand why a 2,500 dollar laptop has had that many issues.

well il tell you this, when i had my R2 M17X (740M I7 dual 5870's)  i had to use compresed air to clean it once/twice a week pending on how much gaming i did and i was was averaging 4-8 houirs aday and my system was never turned off till the day it  went kaputz! ...... nore did it ever leave my desk

first cleaning a laptop cooling system is crutial as its   BARE minimum required to keep it cool and thats if its running @ 100% effeciency,  you may even have to take a apart and clean built up dust on fan itself if not already done when you stripped it ,  (had to do this with wifes dell 17R now that its a year old). second if its been overheated its likely the thermal paste on the cpu/video cards is cooked and needs to be replaced/cleaned reapplied,  AS5 is recommended and dropped my wifes system temps average 10C over stock . i also had a coolermaster cooler undermine from day one

Sorry im using the wifes inspiron 17R as a comparision cause when i got my 3rd replacement M17X R2 i sold it off, i gave up and went back to a custom desktop
