{MOVED}Alienware M17x R3 keyboard issues while gaming
I have an M17x R3, Windows 7, all available drivers and updates installed, but while playing games such as Black Ops, Black Ops 2 etc, I can only use any 2 keys at one time. I'm pretty sure this is a keyboard limitation but it's really annoying. I bought a "gaming" laptop....It should be set up for "gaming". Can anyone help fix, circumvent, or confirm that it is a limitation please?

Roll over limitation is physical hardware limitaton. Thats why they make "Gamer" Usb Keyboards.
Certain high-end keyboards have "n-key rollover". This means that each key is scanned completely independently by the keyboard hardware, so that each keypress is correctly detected regardless of how many other keys are being pressed or held down at the time. The Razer BlackWidow Stealth edition keyboards use the tactile but quiet brown key switches, while the Razer BlackWidow keyboards use the tactile and clicky blue mechanical key switches.
Razer BlackWidow keyboards do have anti-ghosting capabilities. The standard Razer BlackWidow keyboards feature a gaming optimized key matrix for the keys around the regular WASD cluster allowing multiple key presses without key ghosting or jamming. The Razer BlackWidow Stealth Ultimate edition keyboard on the other hand, offers a full 6-key rollover (6KRO) capability for multiple key presses. The BlackWidow mechanical keyboards are USB only, meaning they cannot have true N-key rollover. N-key rollover (NKRO) is only possible with a direct connection to a native PS/2 port on the computer which also has other limitations that USB overcomes. The Razer BlackWidow keyboards' anti-ghosting capabilities serve a similar purpose while using the more modern and readily available USB port. Typically these "keyboards" cost OVER $100 and some as high as $200.

Silly me, thinking that buying a $3,400 gaming system would be capable of gaming....pshh. Especially with a name specifically designed for it. Oh well, thanks for your confirmation. I can tell my buddies to cancel their orders and i'll build them desktops.
