Select the right operating system version and find the command center in application tab and download it
(3) Now restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed. If not you may try creating a new Theme in AlienFX (open Command Center -> enter AlienFX -> close the current theme -> create a new theme).
If you have any other questions do reply to the same thread.
The day I got it I was downloading some of my old games on to steam and left it on all night. After 3rd shift I got home and it was stuck on the cube theme and it was not doing anything. So, after I was about ready to leave to go to work I left it on. I came back home and it was off, I turned it back on and it turn all white. I went into AlienFX and it started to work again!
Call it dumb luck but I happy! And no I didn't try to uninstall AlienFX yet but, now it works.
I know this thread is old, but I'm having this problem right now as well. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Alienware command center. Whenever I select a theme in the command center the lights turn on for a second and then turn off again.
I'm also having this problem -- I can change the keyboard and mouse colors, but can't change the tower colors. I uninstalled and reinstalled command center without any change.
I don't actually see any option to "close theme" from the alienware fx editor. I can create a new theme, but there's no "close theme" option. To change the desktop zones, I get options to change (color/morph/pulse) - I don't get those 3 options for the mouse or keyboard - just one, which immediately changes the color.
The lights on the desktop tower are on, but stuck on a color I changed them to months ago.
I am also having this problem. Just uninstalled and reinstalled ACC but no dice. Lights on keyboard come on for a second, then it goes dark again. I have a brand new Alienware 14 laptop.
**UPDATE**
OK...I figured out the problem. I had the Dim LIghting Zones in Battery Mode Only option deselected. I feel much better now
