New Alienware 17 r4 TactX macro keys serious problem PLUS UPDATES
Greetings,
New Alienware, Windows 10 Pro 64.
Macro keys are impossible to customize, assign any function, shortcut, etc.
They are enlighten, react on color changing.
As far as I discovered I could manageped to make work only:
A network driver shortcut (\\...)
A text box ( able to insert it into Wordpad)
Assign F(number) keys
No shortcut (ex. CTRL+H) is accepted.
This is is a case for both right and left macro keys.
I have paid some important sum for this stuff and I should expect a bit better quality of the product.
Hope anyone could have any helpful suggestion leading to solving this....
PS
I have already contacted Dell Support, a L1 technical has found no solution.
ONE MORE THING:
Once performing suggested system updates
(via SupportAssist) they return there as suggested again, as nothing has been updated.
Ex.BIOS, whilst the newest version has been well present in system infos.
Have I bought a piece of crap?
