New alienware won't power up

So I just received my Alienware m17x R4 today.  I plugged in the power source and allowed the battery to charge up for 4 hours now and when I go to push the power button, nothing happens.  I have tried removing the battery and reseating it as well as trying different outlets.  The power supply light is on so I know power is flowing but the computer will notpower on at all.  Any suggestions? Very disappointing to get a new laptop that you have been waiting on for weeks to come and to my surprise does not work.  The only suggestion that tech support gave to me was to pay out of my own pocket to mail the computer back to dell so they can access the issue.  Seems to me that dell should be sending a prepaid box to send this back in to them.
