New and fun issues
Bought an AW 15 base model with a 256 SSD for the OS (Win 8.1) and now, 5 months late, I'm having wonderful issues:
1) My computer won't shut off. When I click the shut down option the screen goes blank but the computer stays on. I have to physically shut the computer off.
2) Start up is almost 1 to 1.5 minutes long on an SSD when it was onlt 10-20 seconds max last week.
3) My 1TB storage drive (drive D) likes to go missing every now and then. This morning it was there, tonight it's gone.
4) The fans don't seem to be working. I've read complaints about this before and didn't think it was something I had to deal with, but after running a diagnostic last night and finding out how powerful the fans are during that test, I have come to the conclusion they are not working.
This is an inexcusable amount of problems for a laptop that I only use to play 1 game and write music and for a laptop that is only 5 months old and cost $1300+.
What I've tried so far: Bios Diagnostic (came back clean), an updated BIOS to A02, I had AO1.
Anyone with these same issues?

There could be a problem with windows, I will recommend you to perform an Alienrespawn or a clean installation of the operating system.
On regards to the fan issue what are the temperatures when the system is idle and under stress?

I have technical support looking at it. The fan issue was fine, there was no problem from what the tech found. They agreed there is an issue with the SSD because a 2 min load time is absurd for an SSD. They recommended that I check the cables for the HDD.
