IE9 has been doing this to me. I ran virus and window checks. Found nothing. Thought maybe it was because I was running the IE9 64 launcher but it does it on 32 too. Removed all tool bars and defaulted IE9. Nothing. Reinstalled IE9...nothing. Did a full hardware check...nothing.

I have run out of ideas. I think it's something with some web pages and IE9. Gonna give it time. Maybe it just needs a update fix from microsoft. It does it on other systems I have and now with your post I am sure its on their end and not ours.

Stick to the (default) 32bit launcher for now.

Use the "Reset Settings" button in Internet Options/Advanced.

Uninstall all Toolbars, BUT also go into Manage Add-Ons and Disable (non-Microsoft) Extensions. Set Accelerators back to default Microsoft ones.

If that seems to work, uninstall old and install latest Flash 11.x (kinda hard to use net without Flash).

Morblore, you may well be right, as why should an updated Google toolbar together with another existing one suddenly put IE9 into a looping stalling mode?  But google obviously updated in the background it's toolbar and after my Aronis install of Dec 5/11 withing a few minutes updated it again.  Haven't found out how I can eliminate such silent updates.  I like to be informed beforehand of all updates and then I make the decision to do so or not to do so. That way I would have immediately checked into the toolbar issue rather than installing a previous image, ruining my SSD further.

But I had no problems before, running both toolbars, After the update IE9 works with either one but not with both. Before these 42 Event 1000 errors of to-day showing as faulting module "jscript.dll", I had two of those just a day after installing IE9 on Nov 23/11 with faulting module "ntdll.dll" and no problems inbetween and have used the software daily on numerous web-sites. Well, based on my modems "light show", Win7 must have sent lots of data to MS everytime it happened, but based on MS Forums many of the suggested fixes relate to sugestions to disable toolbars and then add one after the other.

NB.  I also started IE9 under Administrator mode where it worked.  Unfortunately, i am not sure if this was after un-installing Google or before.

BYW, did you update to the newer AlienGUIse ThemeManager?

See my post en.community.dell.com/.../19999335.aspx  which fixed my previous download problem.

See my profile for my system specs..

Oops - pressed the wrong button,  Tesla, thanks for your feedback.

32bit launcher:  Not sure, but since the faulting module was JSCRIPT.DLL not JSCRIPT9.DLL (presumably being a 64 bit version and more importantly, since the start button indicates that iexplore.exe is started from Program Files (x86), I assume I am using the 32bit launcher.

Settings: I simply used windows update to replace IE8 by IE9.  So far have never made any changes. To verify advanced setting, I took a copy, then did the reset, restarted IE and there were no changes to the copied settings

Toolbars: IE9 took over the toolbars as installed on IE8. The present Add-on screen is shown below. Previously Ask.com was enabled. the only change now made by me. Don't know while some others are disabled and others enabled except I know when installing Norton 360 there was a question as to integrating Norton with IE.  Really not very familiar with this and whether I should make further changes. Since the Nero Ask Toolbar is listed separately from Nero under installed programmes, I assume I can un-install it without effecting Nero itself.

Accelerators:  Never even heard of such and need to read up on such. Presently lists Email with Win Live, Map with bing, and translate with bing. showing "default".  Since I am using MS Outlook, I guess I can delete Win Live.

Flash Player: The 64-bit version 11.1.102.55 version is installed on my system.

Anyway - after having disabled the Ask Toolbar, I didn't really want anyway, IE9 is again running as before.
