Official Complaint
No sense diving into how I thought that things would go smoothly buying from the biggest name in gaming computers, if you are reading this, you already know how that goes, so here is my issue. I bought an alienware laptop, bought the extended warranty/extra coverage/all that fluff that makes it sound worth it and even with all that, Im forced to come here for some desperate resolution to a simple problem. Long story short, this is my sad attempt at an official customer complaint since this company does not give a way to do so in an official way. About 6 months in, the laptop starts saying no boot device found, so I call tech support and get badgered about how its my fault I installed games on it, I told her to transfer me to another guy and he was great. Set me up to send it back for repairs just as he should, I get it back and a month later, same problem. Now I cant get ahold of the original guy so I have to start over with a new tech guy. He has me run the gauntlet of diagnosis and trying to fix it, works here and there but then dead again. Send it back, get it back, still broken, more fixes more diagnosis....which is to be expected but how long do I have to suffer over a broken product? Finally get a tech who knows the issue and says its a motherboard so he has me send it back so they can replace it, and he was great the whole time. Only then do I get the laptop back a week later, finding out that I was lied to and they didn't replace a single part. All they did was, and this is the repair tech's words, "I just tightened the hard drive". Goes without saying, it fails within hours of getting it back. Now its to the point where I have emailed the tech support guys on their official emails, the ones that say to reply to if you are still having issues, and they wont reply to the emails, they wont call. Im totally in the cold now. Maybe not a long story short since there is about twice this much to this issue that I didn't mention, but at least now it is public about how awful this company has treated my situation with this computer.
