Problem with new computer
I just bought an aurora r3 and received it Tuesday of this week. While watching youtube I noticed that it would sort of glitch out, freezing up the youtube, making the screen shake, and the sound becomes all screwed and sort of skips and buzzes. It only does it for a second, but it happens quite often and if I am in any other program while listening to youtube it freezes that one as well. I thought it was possibly the sound card or drivers but while playing a game today it started freezing again. Anyone know why this would be happening?

It is not a complete lockup... It is a second or two of, I dunno what to call it but it's like it gets overloaded, freezes, makes a bunch of weird noises, etc.

Also, another question and this may sound dumb, but will anything go wrong with my computer if I upgrade it with parts that are not purchased through dell?

Ok I downloaded from nvidia site, could it also be a problem with my sound drivers? Or possibly a hardware problem (such as video card/soundcard)? I'm kind of scared to use this product though because if I have problems it seems like they will be blown out of proportion by dell support and be a huge hassle to take care of. I mean I could just buy new parts from outside sources but from what I have seen the whole system is scary to deal with and I don't want all the aggravation. I'm kind of leaning towards a return.
Except...
I went to the return section, entered my information and it told me my order number is invalid, even though I pulled it straight from the dell emails... Already worried.

If you're within the 21 day return period I would send it back asap & purchase a computer from www.originpc.com.

You can run tri-channel 1600MHz no problem. Which video card do you have? You can use GPUz to find out what you have.

Well, the choices of ram for anything no ALX were pretty bad, so I want to get tri-channel 1600 mhz if possible. Also, I want to SLI two cards together, but im unsure about continued use of this noname brand GPU and so may need to buy 2.

I have a nvidia 1gb nvidia gtx 560 ti. I meant the manufacturer is noname brand, somebody dell got to make the card for them, which is what worries me.
Since I have reinstalled drivers it has not happened, doesn't mean it is fixed however.

The noname brand GPU's are OEM units from nvidia.

Dell has gone to the dogs. I feel your pain but you don't have many options at this point.
I can tell you that the error you are getting is almost 100% GPU driver error. The only other thing it could be is a corrupted version of windows. I have had both happen to me. Take a day and reinstall windows. Fully update everything ( Don't forget Windows update + service pack 2 ) before you even try using anything that will use the GPU such as video or games. It can be hardware related but it will be really rare if that is the case.
If that does not fix it then get on the phone to Dell tech support. Explain to them that you have tried both Dell and Nvidia drivers and have done a fresh install of windows. At that point they will most likely start changing parts. Keep track of how many days you have left on Dell's return policy so you have that option if you decide to go down that road.
Keep us updated on how it's going. We may see something else you don't and it could turn out to be an easy fix.
Good Luck and don't loose hope.
