You can download and update from here:

http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/sftwr-prod/imsm

Intel-RST, in general, can't be un-installed. To remove the core-driver from your system, you will have to clean install Windows (see my Favorites).

Hi Tesla1856,

thanks for responding to my question.

So these drivers you're pointing to on  the Intel site  do you think they will take care of  the situation I have

I am running a standard hard drive  not solid-state.  I was looking at the newest one  and it doesn't mention  anything about the standard  hard drives

 just the solid-state drives.

I am old school so therefore I don't know too much about the solid-state drives in their controllers.

 I appreciate all your help

It's an enhanced driver for the Intel SATA port ... so anything connected to them like HDD, SSD, etc.

If it's NOT already installed, I would not install it.

If you are having a problem with Intel-RST (meaning it's already installed) all you can do is update it. The bundled un-install routine just removes the interface/front-end ... the core driver stays behind.

It's my understanding that ... if you want it removed from your system, that you will have to re-install Windows cleanly without it.

Sorry about that

let's start over about once a week sometimes every other week I get the blue screen of death. I have the blue screen program that shows the address in the file causing the problem.

0x0000001e iaStorA.sys
0x0000001e iaStorA.sys
0x0000001e iaStorA.sys
0x0000001e iaStorA.sys
0x0000001e iaStorA.sys
0x000000d1 storport.sys
0x000000d1 storport.sys
0x000000d1 storport.sys
0x1000007e rusb3xhc.sys
0x1000007e rusb3xhc.sys
0x1000007e rusb3xhc.sys

I have already removed my 2 TB hard drive so that's no longer an issue. The Dell website has three versions of this software so my question is which one I am running Windows 7 64-bit Aurora R4

If you have removed the 2tb-USB3 drive, and are still getting that BSoD, yes, I would first try to update Intel-RST to latest version (easiest of 2 fixes).

I just got it and I just execute it and it said this platform is not supported.

The first one I download it was just the drivers I had a brain for yesterday I could just go
to device manager an update to drivers there what do you think.

Or pick one of them from the Dell website preferably the newest one

Intel Rapid Storage Technology - Enterprise version:  3.5.0.1092

Looks like you have the Enterprise version installed (weird). You will have to update with that version (not desktop version). Use version from Intel.com or Dell.com ... which ever is newest.

You are welcome. Give it plenty of time to error and/or do whatever caused the error before. Once you are sure the problem is solved, THEN ... go ahead and try connecting the 2tb-USB3 drive.
